Sticky glazed salmon bowls
Creamy, sweet, crunchy and fresh. Served with some sticky rice and a quick chilli cucumber salad.
Last time we spoke I was waxing lyrical about Christmas food and sharing my favourite way to use up the turkey leftovers. Happy Christmas by the way! (and if you haven’t yet made last week’s giant vol au vent with the turkey leftovers, there is still time!) So whilst it’s true I LOVE everything about Christmas food, there does come a moment when I begin to crave something different. This moment happens on about the 28th or 29th December. A change of appetite occurs and I start wanting fresh, and crisp. Green and zingy. In fact, todays recipe is exactly what I want to eat.
I thought seeing as this happens to me, perhaps the same happens to you and you might be wanting something just like this.
This is the perfect antidote for all the rich Christmas food but it’s also the perfect dish for any weeknight as it is really speedy and packed full of flavour. Really it’s so delicious. I make a version of this so often I thought it was about time I featured it here on Dinner Tonight.
There’s something so delicious to me about bowl food. I have no idea what the reasoning could possibly be but the fact is food tastes better when eaten out of a bowl. All the elements of this dish just work so well and you will impress yourself with how delicious this is. And on a busy weeknight “bowl food” is so often my answer for what to make for supper. But in particular this.
